Newtown Halloween Art Scene Set For Oct. 19
Want to help Newtown get festive for the Halloween holiday? The Halloween Art Scene event is set for Oct. 19.

NEWTOWN, PA — The annual Newtown Halloween Art Scene event is Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those interested in participating in the decorative fun need to register by Oct. 14.
Newtown Halloween Art Scene is a collaborative effort between local residents and businesses to get town looking festive for the Halloween holiday. Group of local residents of all ages will gather to paint local businesses' windows with Halloween-themed artwork.
The cost to participate is $5 a window.

Registrants can pick up paint supplies at Newtown Bicycle Shop parking lot (30 N. State Street) between 9 and 10 a.m. the day of the event. Artists should bring their own brushes, as well as paper towels, a tarp, and a container with water for cleaning brushes.
Prizes will be awarded following the Newtown Halloween Parade on Saturday, Oct. 26 You don't need to be present to win. If you're not there, you can pick up your prize at the Newtown Bicycle Shop after Oct. 27.

The rain date is the next day, Oct. 20. All children 13 and younger who want to participate must have adult supervision during the event.
