Newtown Library Company Begins Reopening Process

Starting June 23, the library will be open for vestibule pickup on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Library Company announced its reopening plans amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Starting June 23, the library will be open for vestibule pickup on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m.

Patrons can also begin returning books through the front door book drop. All returned books will be quarantined for five days before being checked in and put back on our shelves.

Patrons can also resume reserving books through the online catalog. When the books are ready for pickup, an email notification will be sent.

"Although the rest of the building will remain closed to patrons, you can still make use of our wifi as well as the outdoor reading circle space," the library said in an announcement on Patch.
