Newtown Man, 86, Struck Pedestrian On S. State Street: Police
Driving a truck, the man hit a Yardley woman as she was crossing the street in the Saturday accident.
NEWTOWN, PA — Police are investigating a traffic accident on Saturday afternoon, after a man driving a truck hit a woman walking in the crosswalk.
The Newtown Borough Police Department said the accident occurred on S. State Street at Centre Avenue at 12:52 p.m. on Saturday. An 86-year-old Newtown man struck the 54-year-old Yardley woman as she was crossing the street.
Police said the truck had turned off Centre Avenue onto S. State Street when it struck the pedestrian.

An ambulance took the woman to St. Mary's Hospital, where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
