The Newtown Township Police Department reported these incidents and more in the past week.
NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department has reported on multiple incidences related to fraud from the past week.

Friday, Oct. 15

- Newtown-Makefield Truck Enforcement Unit conducted a commercial vehicle safety detail in Fox Hill Drive and Durham Road in Wrightstown Township.
- Bicycle Patrol rode throughout several areas in Newtown Township, including the Trunk or Treat event at Newtown Elementary School, the Council Rock North High School football game, and the Village of Newtown Shopping Center.

Saturday, Oct. 16
Police conducted a traffic stop around 9 a.m. The driver of a black Nissan Altima was pulled over for committing a vehicle code violation on the Newtown Bypass in the area of Summit Trace. He was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and was cited.
Sunday, Oct. 17
Police pulled over a silver Jeep Wrangler near Bucks Road. The driver was placed under arrest after police smelled alcohol in his vehicle and he subsequently failed a field sobriety test.
Monday, Oct. 18
Police responded to a theft report in Newtown Township, where a child's scooter, bike, and helmet were stolen. An investigation is currently underway to find the $225 worth of gear.
Tuesday, Oct. 19
Police responded to the vandalism of political signs. The investigation is ongoing.
Wednesday, Oct. 20
The Newtown-Makefield Truck Enforcement Unit conducted a commercial vehicle safety detail on the Newtown Bypass in the area of Lindenhurst Road. During the detail, fifteen trucks were stopped and inspected, with seven citations and eleven warnings being issued for violations that were found, and three commercial vehicles were placed out of service.
Thursday, Oct. 21
A red GMC pick-up truck was pulled over on Richboro Road. Suspected rug paraphernalia was seized and the driver was arrested.
