NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department has reported on multiple incidences related to fraud from the past week.

Below are listed all the incidences:

Friday, Oct. 8 - 10 a.m.

A Township resident contacted police to report a case of unemployment fraud. The resident claims the unemployment office called him to tell him someone had hacked his personal information. The matter is being investigated by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.

Tuesday, Oct. 12 - 8:30 a.m.

A Township resident reported that a fraudulent account had been opened in his name. The company the account was opened under is currently investigating the matter.

Thursday, Oct. 14 - 3:30 p.m.

A Township resident contacted police over claims of credit card fraud, as fraudulent purchases were made on the card. The resident is currently disputing these purchases with the bank's fraud department.
