Newtown Presbyterian Church To Host Organ Recital

NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Presbyterian Church will be hosting an organ recital to honor the 50 year anniversary of the organ's refurbishing.
The event will showcase multiple organists who have played the instrument over the years as they play companions by classical composers like Bach, Brahms, and Vivaldi, to name a few.
According to the event organizers, there will also be a discussion about the organ's history at the church and how it works to create music for worshippers.

The event will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 23 at the church, which is located at 25 N. Chancellor Street in Newtown. The concert is free and open to the public, with a good will donation available for the church's Music Fund, which helps pay costs to keep the organ up to date on maintenance.
