Newtown Theatre Fundraiser To Close Part Of North Main Street

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Newtown Borough Police Department has announced road closures and parking restrictions on North State Street in advance of Saturday's Newtown Theatre Black and White fundraising dinner.

• Beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6 parking will not be allowed on both sides of North State Street in front of the Newtown Theatre. The Newtown Borough Municipal Parking Lots will be open for the event and local businesses.
• Beginning at 2 p.m., North State Street will be limited to local traffic only between Jefferson and Greene streets.
• Beginning at 5 p.m., North State Street will be closed to traffic between Jefferson and Greene streets.
• The Jefferson Street Bridge and the Washington Street Bridge will remain open to traffic. Local businesses will also be open, accessible by walking if located in the closure area.
• Residents living on North State Street will have access to park near their homes.
