Newtown Theatre Launches “Movies & More” Series

NEWTOWN, Pa. — The historic Newtown Theatre has launched a monthly “Movies & More” series. Each event will feature a movie screening plus an hour of fun activities prior to the movie. Tickets for these events are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com .

Here are the first three “Movies & More” events for 2026:

• “Pirates of the Caribbean” – Friday, Jan. 16 – Activities at 7 p.m., movie at 8 p.m. – In the hour leading up to the movie, ticket holders will enjoy one-ounce samples of five different rum drinks (mocktail option available for pirates under 21), free popcorn, a pirate name-generator station, a “Talk Like a Pirate” contest, movie trivia, and more.
• “When Harry Met Sally” – Friday, Feb. 13 – Activities at 7 p.m., movie at 8 p.m. – In the hour leading up to the movie, ticket holders will enjoy a flight of three NYC-themed cocktails, deli-style finger foods, free popcorn, a fake “O” contest (with a free shot to encourage participants), a “how well do you know each other?” panel, a “Best Pickup Line” wall, and more.
• “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” – Friday, March 20 - Activities at 7 p.m., movie at 8 p.m. – In the hour leading up to the movie, ticket holders will enjoy a complimentary drink, free popcorn, movie trivia, a crown-making station, a coconut “clop-off” contest, a “finish this quote” challenge, a French taunter outside the theatre, and more.
