Several Hundred Protest Against ICE, Venezuela Policy On Newtown Border
Organizers said they had planned to take their concerns to U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick but found his offices closed.

NEWTOWN-MIDDLETOWN, PA — More than 200 gathered to protest President Trump’s "illegal war in Venezuela" and the killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minnesota Friday afternoon at the office of Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick at Summit Square.
Organizers said they had planned to speak with Fitzpatrick's staff and to encourage the Congressman to assert the Constitutional war powers of the Congress and accountability for ICE. When they arrived, they found the offices closed and police officers stationed in the hallway.

Organizers say more than 200 gathered in front of One Summit Square to protest Trump ICE and Venezuelan policies.
“It’s clear that Fitzpatrick and his staff did not want to get feedback from his actual constituents on reigning in Trump’s illegal foreign policy and holding ICE accountable,” said Karen Rodriguez, co-leader of Indivisible Bucks County. “It’s his job to listen to his constituents, and he’s hiding from us.”

“I’m disappointed, but not surprised,” said Laura Rose, co-leader of Indivisible Bucks County. “Fitzpatrick hasn’t held a town hall in more than seven years and has dodged speaking to the citizens of PA01 for as long as I can remember. If it’s his job to listen to us, he has failed in every way.”
