Newtown Theatre To Show Halloween Films, Including 'Frankenstein'

NEWTOWN, PA — Kick off the Halloween fun with a movie at the Newtown Theatre next week.
The theatre will be screening two special features in celebration of the Halloween holiday. Both will play on Oct. 26.
First up is "Hotel Transylvania" at 1 p.m. The animated film is rated PG and tells the story of Dracula, who operates a high-end resort away from the human world. He goes into overprotective mode when a boy discovers the resort and falls for the count's teenaged daughter, according to the synopsis provided by the theatre.

Next is the classic 1931 film "Frankenstein." The black-and-white film follows an obsessed scientist as he assembles a living being from parts of exhumed corpses.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (65 and older) and students, $7 for children (12 and younger), and $5 for theatre members.
