Northampton Man Involved In Fatal Crash: Borough Police
An 84-year-old man passed away after being struck by a Churchville driver while crossing the road in Newtown on Wednesday night.
NEWTOWN, PA — Newtown Borough Police are investigating the death of an 84-year-old man, who was struck by a Northampton resident while crossing Washington Avenue between State Street and Court Street in Newtown on Wednesday night.
According to police, a Yardley man was crossing the road around 8 p.m. and was stuck by a 20-year-old man from Churchville.
After being rushed to St. Mary's Hospital, the Yardley resident died of his injuries a few hours later.

Newtown Borough Police were assisted by officers from the Newtown Township Police, Middletown Township Police, Upper Makefield Township Police. An accident investigator from the Bucks County District Attorney's office came to the scene as well. Newtown Ambulance and Fire Department came to the scene and provided emergency services.
Washington Ave. was closed off for about four hours while the scene was being investigated.
