The commission will consider variances requested in connection with the proposed construction of the 12,500-square-foot Old Navy store.
The new Old Navy building is proposed to be located near Bed Bath & Beyond, in an area that backs up to the high school. The spot been reserved for potential future development, Planning Commission Vice Chair Peggy Driscoll told the Newtown Township Supervisors during a meeting in January.

Plus, the shopping center is requesting a 385-square-foot addition to the existing Chick-fil-A restaurant on West Road. There will also be roadway improvements to reduce traffic backups by restaurant's drive thru as part of the project.
The expansion to Chick-fil-A will be solely for additional kitchen space, Driscoll said. "They can't keep up with the demand need more kitchen space," she said during the January meeting.
