Overnight Road Work Continues In Newtown Township

Motorists can expect overnight delays due to overnight milling and paving operations in the area of the Newtown Shopping Center.

NEWTOWN, PA — Overnight road work will continue on several township roads this week, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The work will be taking place from now through Friday, Sept. 19, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. on the following roadways:

  • Durham Road (Route 413) between Chatham Place and the Newtown Shopping Center (ACME).
  • Newtown Bypass (Route 413/Route 532) from Tyler State Park to Washington Crossing Road/Sycamore Street.

Paving and line striping are scheduled from Tuesday, Sept. 2 to Friday, Sept. 19, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. The times are approximate, and some work may occur during the daytime as well, according to PennDOT.
