Police Investigating Numerous Thefts From Vehicles In Newtown Township
In other reports, police charged a man with disorderly conduct at the Grange Fair and arrested a driver for suspected DUI.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Aug. 15 and 21:
August 15
- At approximately 5:15 p.m. police were notified of a disorderly man at the front entrance to the Middletown Grange Fair on Penns Park Road in Wrightstown Township. As a result of the investigation, the man was instructed to leave the fairgrounds and cited for disorderly conduct.
August 19

- At approximately 6 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Chevrolet SUV for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Wawa on Lower Silver Lake Road. As a result of the investigation, the driver was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and transferred without incident. Drug equipment was also discovered and seized as evidence.
August 21
- Police received numerous reports of vehicle thefts that occurred throughout the night in Newtown Grant. The investigation is ongoing at this time, and police remind residents to remove all valuables from their car and to lock it when not in use.
