NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — With Election Day right around the corner, Democratic candidates running for borough council and for mayor will hold a "listening party" on Saturday, Oct. 25 to share their ideas, questions, concerns and proposals with the public.

Set in Patriots Park at 112 Court Street, the site of a Revolutionary War skirmish and now a Colonial style garden, the event takes place from 2 to 4 p.m. and will feature Tara Grunde-McLaughlin, candidate for mayor; Council President Emily Heinz and Councilor Kris Bauman, who are running for council in Ward 1; and Councilor Gina Tognini who is running for council in Ward 2.

"We can govern most effectively when we listen to what our community needs," said Grunde-McLaughlin.
