BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Police in Bucks County are investigating after two Tesla vehicles were targeted by vandals early this week in Newtown Township and Doylestown Borough.

The first incident happened on Sunday at about 5:30 p.m. in the ACME parking lot off West Road at the Newtown Shopping Center.

According to Captain Harris of the Newtown Township Police Department, the vehicle's recording system captured the juveniles in the act and allowed police to make a quick identification and arrest of the culprits.

Captain Harris said the video showed the juveniles damaging the truck by running a broad tip marker along the driver-side door area.

Meanwhile, a second incident is under investigation in Doylestown Borough.

The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported that a Tesla vehicle parked at Planet Fitness at 422 North Main Street in Doylestown Borough was vandalized while the owner was inside the gym working out.

Police said the owner discovered the damage after returning home. When the victim checked his Tesla cams, he found video of a man vandalizing his car.

Police said the video shows the suspect arriving in a grey Lexus sedan, attempting to hide behind his vehicle, and then appearing to scratch something into the rear passenger door. The suspect then entered Planet Fitness.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Tesla vehicles and showrooms have become a target for vandals and protesters as the company's founder Elon Musk leads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for the Trump Administration.
