Truck Driver Arrested During Inspection Detail In Upper Makefield
Police said the driver had an outstanding arrest warrant for assault and was wanted by police in Bucks County.
UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — A truck driver was arrested on an active warrant on Wednesday after his rig was stopped by police during a truck inspection detail.
The arrest happened while the Newtown-Makefield Motor Carrier Safety Task Force, which is comprised of officers from the Upper Makefield, Newtown Township and Newtown Borough Police Departments, was conducting a motor carrier safety inspection detail at Lookout Park.
Upper Makefield Police reported that the truck driver was found to have an active arrest warrant for assault from a Bucks County police agency. His custody was turned over to the department that secured the warrant.

During this detail, eight trucks were inspected, which resulted in one vehicle and one driver being placed out of service. In addition, seven warnings and one citation were issued.
