Jogger Robbed In Upper Makefield, Police Say

The two young men approached the jogger in their pickup truck and claimed they needed money for gas, according to police.

UPPER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Two young men pretending to need gas money stole cash from a jogger Monday afternoon, according to the Upper Makefield Township Police Department.

Around 2:40 p.m., a person was out for a walk along Street Road near Windy Hollow Road when they were approached by two men in a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with black wheels. The passenger of the vehicle told the jogger they needed money for gas. When the jogger went to retrieve money from their wallet, the passenger grabbed the money and a brief struggle ensued before the driver drove away, police said.

The truck was last seen turning left onto southbound Windy Bush Road (Route 232) towards Pineville Road.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a 17 to 18-year-old male with platinum blonde hair, long on top and short on the sides, with a possible neck tattoo. He was wearing a Bensalem t-shirt. The passenger is described as a 17 to 18-year-old male wearing a t-shirt and a baseball cap.

Police are investigating if the driver is part of a food delivery service, as there was a large Dunkin Donuts order in the truck, authorities said.
