Tyler Park Closed Wednesday For Deer Hunt
Tyler State Park will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 4 for the annual one-day deer hunt.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Tyler State Park will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 4 for a one-day deer hunt. The hunt, conducted by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, is held annually to reduce the deer population.
"The Bureau of State Parks assures us that they take every precaution to ensure that the hunt is conducted safely," Newtown Township Police said in an announcement.
Safety zones, no hunting areas, and park boundaries will be posted and strictly enforced, police said.

Residents can expect to see increased law enforcement officers in the area on Wednesday. Extra Park Rangers, Wildlife Conservation Officers and State Police Officers will be stationed throughout the park during the hunt.
