Winter Storm Watch In Eastern PA: Snow Totals, Timing Released
Three to eight inches of snow is in the forecast for parts of Eastern Pennsylvania. A winter storm watch has been issued in some areas.

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Parts of Eastern Pennsylvania are under a winter storm watch Sunday into Monday, and as much as eight inches of snow could fall in some areas.
The winter storm watch is in place from 7 a.m. Sunday to 7 p.m. Monday in parts of Bucks, Montgomery, and Chester counties. Berks, Lehigh, Carbon, Monroe and Northampton counties are also under the winter storm watch.
The "long-duration" winter storm will consist of a mix of precipitation in two waves. Snow accumulations of three to eight inches and ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are possible.

Snowfall totals are could change, depending upon the timing of the transition from rain to snow.
Communities expected to be impacted include Chalfont, Perkasie, Bethlehem, and Easton, the National Weather Service said.

"Travel could be very difficult throughout this period. The hazardous conditions could impact holiday return travel on Sunday and the commute periods on Monday," the National Weather Service said in the winter storm watch.
The storm will come in two waves: Sunday will have a mix of snow, sleet, and ice, with snow accumulations under two inches.
A lull in precipitation is possible Sunday evening. More snow is predicted to fall later Sunday night and Monday.
