​Youth Orchestra of Bucks County Presents Fall Concerts

Experience the thrill of live music as the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County (YOBC) showcases the extraordinary talent of young musicians in a weekend of inspiring performances on November 16 and 17, 2024! Join us at Holland Middle School for two unforgettable performances that showcase the dedication and artistry of young musicians from 14 school districts across Bucks and surrounding counties.

Saturday November 16th at 2pm

Five YOBC ensembles will be performing on Saturday November 16th at 2pm at Holland Middle School. Saturday’s concert will feature YOBC’s three string ensembles and the Wind Symphony, followed by Philharmonia. Program highlights include Rossini’s La Gazza Ladra Overture, selections from Tchaikovsky’s enchanting Nutcracker Suite, and the third movement of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, featuring YOBC student soloist Cymberly Tsai. Cymberly is one of the winners of YOBC’s Concerto Soloist Competition and is currently a senior at Council Rock High School North.

Sunday November 17th at 4pm

Sunday’s performances include the YOBC Concert Winds and Symphony Orchestra. This concert is not to be missed, as another YOBC student soloist, Pennsbury High School Senior Simon Couchoud, will be performing Sibelius’s “The Swan of Tuonela” on the English Horn. In addition, experience one of Tchaikovsky’s most joyful symphonies with his Symphony No. 2, conducted by YOBC’s inspiring new Music Director, Sebastian Grand.

YOBC is currently accepting rolling auditions and is enrolling new students for the current 2024-2025 season. Students must be in grades 3-12 and play a strings, brass, woodwind, or percussion instrument.
