Homicide Investigation Underway In Montco After Man Stabbed Before Fatal Crash

Police said they found the man with stab wounds inside a vehicle that had crashed into an electrical pole.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A man who crashed into a utility pole in Norristown Tuesday had been stabbed before the crash and later died, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.

Police are investigating the death of Eric King, 38, of Conshohocken, as a homicide.

The incident occurred on the 200 block of Jacoby Street at around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear. Authorities said that King had been involved in a "verbal and physical dispute" with a woman at 806 DeKalb Street just before the crash.

They did not confirm that the woman was the individual who stabbed King, and no charges have yet been filed.

The woman and King knew each other, and the woman has been interviewed by police.

After leaving the home on DeKalb, King crashed into a utility pole on Jacoby Street. First responders took him to Einstein Hospital where he was later declared dead.
