Bridge Work To Cause Lane Closure On 422 This Week

Drivers should plan for delays in the early morning hours.

UPPER MERION, PA — Bridge construction work on U.S. 422 will lead to lane closures later this week, officials announced.

A single lane will be closed on eastbound 422 from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, June 5 and June 6.

The closure will impact mileposts 324-326, between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202 in Upper Merion and Tredyffrin townships.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike is responsible for the project, which includes overhead work to improve the bridges. It is funded by a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Delays should be expected in the area and drivers should plan on additional travel times.
