Eagles Super Bowl Pep Rally To Be Held In Norristown

Norristown is turning green ahead Super Bowl 57. A massive rally will feature mascots from numerous area schools, music, and much more.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown is turning green ahead of Super Bowl 57.

The Eagles are back on one of the biggest stages in sports, as they prepare to battle the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.

Montgomery County officials are organizing a massive pep rally ahead of the big game that will feature mascots from numerous area schools, music, and much more.

"The Eagles are headed to the Super Bowl for the second time in five seasons, and to celebrate – just as they did in 2018 – the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board has once again joined together with Montgomery County to host staff, area residents, local high school and college mascots," organizers said.

The rally will begin on Friday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. on the Montgomery County Courthouse steps.

Elmwood Park Zoo's Noah the Eagle will be in attendance, along with the Bubby the Bison mascot. Several schools will send their mascots, including LaSalle University, Manor College, and Spring-Ford High School. Norristown Area High School's drumline will perform, and the Norristown Police Department and Fire Department will be on hand.

Food and an ice sculpture will also be part of the celebration. The courthouse will turn green to honor the Eagles ahead of the big game.

The courthosue is located on the corner of Swede Street and East Airy Street.
