Elmwood Park Zoo Offering Montco Residents Half-Priced Entry In 2025
The special offer for local residents to see the newly renovated zoo is good through the end of 2025.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Elmwood Park Zoo has announced a new initiative for Montgomery County residents to see the zoo at half-priced admission through the end of the year.
The offer was announced during a special ceremony and tribute at the zoo on Thursday, where zoo officials gathered with various Montgomery County officials to make the announcement.
The discount is thanks to a gift from renowned zoo philanthropists Frank and Paige Engro, whose support of the zoo allowed them to build their recently opened world-class veterinary health center.

The completion of the animal hospital and welcome center was only stage one of a proposed three-pronged redevelopment that could bring a host of changes to the area. The zoo is currently working with the municipality of Norristown on plans to create new wildlife exhibits, including construction of a bridge over Stony Creek to allow easier access to open space on other parts of the property, which could be built on.
