Fall COVID Surge In Montco: Each Town's Latest Cases

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA -- The fall surge of coronavirus has hit Pennsylvania and the rest of the nation hard, with record number of cases in the state last week. While Montgomery County has maintained a very low percent positivity rate on tests and remains in a better position than all neighboring counties it is not immune.

There were 826 new cases reported over the last two weeks, a significant increase over the 591 reported the two weeks before that. The average daily number of cases over a 14-day period has risen to 51, after holding in the 30s and low 40s for months.

The good news: the death rate remains low, and the positivity rate is holding steady at 2.28 percent.
