How Montgomery Co. High Schools Compared In New Ranking

A new study placed 10 different Montgomery County high schools in the state's top 50.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Ten different high schools around Montgomery County are among the top ranked public high schools in Pennsylvania, according to Niche's just released 2026 Best Public High Schools in America.

It comes just week after the more strictly qualitative ranking put out by U.S. News and World Report placed nine local schools in its top 50, albeit a very different group. Four of the top 50 from that ranking — Upper Dublin, Jenkintown, Perkiomen Valley, and Springfield Township — did not make the cut of the top 50 in Niche's list.

The evaluation metrics for the Niche list take input from students, alumni and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources and facilities.
