Inaugural Montco Jazz Fest Is This Week: Dates, Locations, More

NORRISTOWN, PA — The first ever Montco Jazz Fest is ongoing this week across the area.

The county-wide event features performances at numerous venues and aims to "celebrate Montgomery County as a music destination" and highlights local artists, organizers say.

The schedule for the remainder of the week is below:

POTTSTOWN

Norman Taylor will play the Red Horse Motoring Club at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22. Tickets.

Bennie Sims Jazz Fusion Band will play Rivet Canteen and Assembly at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23.

CONSHOHOCKEN

Cliff Starkey and the Bennie Sims Jazz Duo will perform at Daniel's Restaurant + Bar from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22. Seating is first come, first serve.

NORRISTOWN

The festival is set to hit the Center Theater in Norristown on Friday, Sept. 23, featuring a performance by recording artist Erich Cawalla along with his jazz quintet. Hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine, and access to the Theater's Charles L. Blockson Exhibition come with a ticket.

ARDMORE

Cymande, 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 at Ardmore Music Hall. Tickets.

TRAPPE

Terry Klinefelter Trio, Saturday, Sept. 24 at Community Music School. Tickets.

GLENSIDE

Peabo Bryson and Oleta Adams, Keswick Theater, 7 p.m. Tickets.
