KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Eataly, the massive new Italian marketplace coming to the King of Prussia Mall, will officially open on Oct. 2, owners said last week.

The world famous establishment includes fresh pasta, a restaurant, fresh fish and produce, and more.

It marks the marketplace and retail shop's 17th location in North America and 60th worldwide, but it's the first in Pennsylvania and in the Delaware Valley at large.

“Our mission at Eataly is to showcase the Italian art of living through unparalleled experiences, transporting guests to Italy through our unique mix of retail and dining,” said Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America.

The 21,000 square-foot establishment will include a restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating, quick service counters, a retail selection of imported Italian goods, a wine store with 450 Italian labels, and more. The restaurant, La Pizza and La Pasta, will include more than 200 seats.

Counters around the marketplace include Lavazza coffee, La Pasticceria pastries, Il Gelato sweet treats, and Pizza alla Pala with Roman-style slices.
