Montco Elementary School Named National Blue Ribbon School

AMBLER, PA — Gwynedd Mercy Academy Elementary School was awarded one of the most prestigious accolades in the nation when it was named a National Blue Ribbon School.

The award, given each year by the U.S. Department of Education and based on the school's overall academic performance, was earned by just 13 different schools in all of Pennsylvania this year.

“National Blue Ribbon Schools not only attract new growth in our neighborhoods, but they help grow the future leaders of Pennsylvania and beyond right from our backyard,” State Rep. Melissa Cerrato said. “I’m so proud of Gwynedd-Mercy and its staff and students. Their hard work reflects highly on our community.”

The DOE also recognizes progress made to close the achievement gap among students, as well as creating safe and welcoming spaces that encourage excellence.
