Montco Now Offering Walk-Up Appointments At All Clinics
Aiming to reduce barriers, pre-registration is no longer needed to get a COVID-19 vaccine at any of Montgomery County's clinics.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County announced Tuesday they will offer walk-up availability, with no registration required, at all of its COVID-19 vaccination clinics. It's part of the efforts ongoing at the county and state level to simplify access to the vaccine for groups of people who may be hesitant to receive it.
Residents are still encouraged to bring their identification and insurance card to their appointment, and vaccines can still be booked ahead of time online, as usual.
"This is a big step as we continue to work to make the vaccine available and accessible across our county," Montgomery County Commissioner Val Arkoosh said.

Walkups are only being offered for first doses of the Pfizer vaccine, and shots of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Second doses of Pfizer must still be scheduled.
The county had previously only had a single location open for walk-up appointments: St. John's Episcopal Church, in Norristown.

Clinics are open at different hours. Refer to the county's clinic schedule for updated times here.
