Montco's Weather Emergency Extended Through End Of Week

While accumulation is likely limited on Tuesday, more cold and precipitation is in the forecast.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County has extended its Code Blue cold weather emergency declaration to last through Sunday, Dec. 7 at 9 a.m., they announced.

It comes as a winter storm batters parts of the region Tuesday, and ahead of an expected Arctic blast of frigid air later this week that could see low temperatures drop into the teens and wind chills into the single digits.

A second winter storm is possibly in the works for later on Friday, with the strength and snow totals highly dependent upon how it develops and interacts with the effects of the polar vortex, forecasters said.
