Nikki Haley To Campaign With Dave McCormick In Montgomery County
One of the nation's most prominent Republican voices will campaign with U.S. Senate candidate Dave McCormick in Montgomery County Wednesday.

PENNSBURG, PA — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dave McCormick will campaign with Nikki Haley in Montgomery County Wednesday, part of an effort by the right to shore up the hotly contested voting bloc of Republicans who did not support Donald Trump in the primary.
The event will take place at the Haines Estate in Pennsburg at 1 p.m.
It comes as McCormick has significantly cut Democratic incumbent Sen. Bob Casey's lead in the polls. What was an 8 point lead for Casey in late August and four point lead in early October has dwindled to just 1.6 points, according to an aggregate of polls from RealClearPolitics.

Like Haley, McCormick himself has been more allied with the establishment wing of the GOP, but has also thrown his support behind Trump. It's not clear to what extent his comparatively more moderate stance will be able to reach across parties.
Haley, the former South Carolina governor and ambassador to the United Nations who was the most prominent Republican opponent to Trump during the primary, won 158,672 votes in Pennsylvania in the primary.

While a vociferous critic of Trump and the MAGA wing during her campaign, Haley has since endorsed the former president in his race against Kamala Harris. But Democrats have been quick to claim her former supporters for their own cause, and a slew of former Haley staffers made a public display of endorsing Harris earlier in the fall.
In Pennsylvania, where every voting bloc, no matter how small, could determine the outcome of the entire election, those tens of thousands of votes are highly coveted by both parties.
After their visit to Montgomery County in the early afternoon, Haley and McCormick will continue on to Allegheny County for another campaign event at 6 p.m. in Warrendale, about 18 miles outside Pittsburgh.
