Norristown Man Charged for Seeking A Child Online To Sexually Exploit
Thomas J. Kaczmarek, 23, was arrested at a hotel, according to police.
NORRISTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA — State, federal and local officials worked together to arrest a Norristown man following a child predator undercover operation, according to the district attorney's office.
Two ads for 14-year-old children were placed on internet sites frequented by adults seeking children for sex, according to the district attorney’s office.
Thomas J. Kaczmarek, 23, of Morristown, responded to one of the ads, according to police. During the sting operation, Abington Detective and trained Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force member Rick Beaghley posed as a 14-year-old girl, according to the district attorney's office.

Kaczmarek described the specific sex acts he wished to perform on the person he believed to be a 14-year-old female, police reported.
Kaczmarek was arrested at a hotel in Conshohocken where he believed he was meeting a 14-year-old girl to perform sexual acts, according to the district attorney’s office.

Kaczmarek has been charged with attempted statutory sexual assault, attempted unlawful contact with a minor, attempted indecent assault and crime use of a communication facility.
His bail was set at $100,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 11 at 11 a.m.
Chonshohocken Police, Abington Police, the Montgomery County Detective Bureau, Homeland Security Investigation and the ICAC Task Force worked together on this arrest.
