
From the flagship store on Market Street in the heart of Philadelphia, Strawbridge & Clothier strove to meet the needs of its customers for more than a century. On Thursday, September 28, Author Margaret Strawbridge Butterworth charts the history of Philadelphia’s iconic Strawbridge & Clothier, including vivid stories from past employees as she invites you to join the “Store Family” at the Historical Society of Montgomery County.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a social gathering with light refreshments. Ms. Butterworth’s presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. and last for about an hour with time for questions. Books will be available for purchase and signing both before and after the presentation. This program is free and open to the public.
The Historical Society is located at 1654 DeKalb Street, Norristown and is handicapped accessible. Off-street parking is available behind Society Headquarters.
