Reward Posted, Police Ask For Help After Teen Killed In Norristown
Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a vehicle they said sped away from the scene of the fatal shooting.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A $5,000 reward has been issued for information leading to the identification of a vehicle that authorities say was involved in the recent killing of a teenager in Norristown.
The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office released several photos of the vehicle, a white sedan, which they said was possibly a Chevrolet.

Video surveillance from the 1000 block of Powell Street at around 6:08 p.m. on Nov. 30, which is just after the killing took place, shows the vehicle speeding away.
Hamid Boyd, 19, a Norristown resident and basketball star who was being recruited to play Division 1 basketball, was walking home from the store when he was shot several times, authorities said.

Police have not speculated publicly upon a motive.
Boyd, a recent graduate of Martin Luther School, was remembered lovingly by friends and family.
"He was a devoted father to his 2-year-old daughter, and his presence brought joy and hope to everyone around him," Ayana Boyd wrote in a GoFundMe launched to support the family. "Hamid was deeply loved by his grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and even his teachers and staff."
