NORRISTOWN, PA — The search continues this week for the suspects who authorities said shot and killed a 19-year-old Norristown resident as he was walking home from the store just days after Thanksgiving.

Authorities have posted a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the identification or capture of the suspects in the killing of Hamid Boyd.

Boyd, was a father of one, beloved son and brother, and basketball star who was being recruited to play at the Division 1 level, according to a GoFundMe launched to support the family

Police are searching for a white sedan, possibly a Chevrolet. Video surveillance from the 1000 block of Powell Street at around 6:08 p.m. on Nov. 30, which is just after the killing took place, shows the vehicle speeding away.

Police have not speculated publicly upon a motive.
