Star Student: Mariesa Excels In Softball, School In Norristown
We all know students who excel in academics, fine arts, or volunteer service. Here's one local resident having an impact in Norristown.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Star students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Patch has launched n initiative to help recognize star students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes for a local student named Mariesa, who is an eighth grader at St. Francis of Assisi.

"Mariesa has maintained First honors since the 4th grade," the anonymous submitter wrote. "She is very detail oriented, and meticulous in everything she does. She has played softball since the age of 6, and is an awesome shortstop for her 14U travel softball team. She is a get stuff done kinda girl."
The nominator adds that "we may all stand to take a few pointers from this amazing 13 year old."

"Entering PJP for her high school education next year, she couldn't be more motivated. Watch out world.....this one will do BIG things," they wrote.
