UPPER MERION, PA — Hundreds of layoffs are reportedly expected at Valley Forge Casino after the company's owners suffered significant losses during the second quarter of 2020, amid the coronavirus closures and economic collapse.

The Casino laid off 539 employees in May, according to a WARN notice from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Many of those layoffs, effective July 1 through July 14, were expected to be temporary due to the pandemic.
