Great American Cleanup
North Park
Friends of North Park are sponsoring "North Park Earth Day Redd Up," a litter cleanup from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at North Park in Hampton. Meet at the Cabin on Ingomar Road (http://goo.gl/maps/iW9Kx).

FNP and North Area Environmental Council are hosting a second lake and land clean up at North Park from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 in McCandless.

Marshall Township
Marshall Township Parks and Recreation will host a litter cleanup from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 20 starting at 415 Knob Road, Marshall. For more information contact Heather Cuyler Jerry at 724-935-3090 ext. 114 or heatherj@twp.marshall.pa.us
Middlesex Township
Middlesex Township Parks and Recreation will host "Clean Middlesex Day" from 9 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 4. The event begins at 133 Browns Hill Road, Valencia. Contact Scot Fodi at 724-898-3571 or middlesex@zoominternet.net for more information.
Campus Beautification
La Roche College
La Roche College is hosting its Earth Day activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17.
Plans are to reveal a new recycling kiosk, Dumpster model and demo video at College Center Square, along with food, games and prizes.
A roadside cleanup will take place on campus along Duncan Avenue. (Rain date is Thursday, April 18.)
Waste Management and Greenstar Recycling will explain where La Roche’s recycled material goes. The presentation will be held at Cantellops Art Gallery.
At Wright Library, partner with facilities management for plantings and library beautification.
Community Meeting
Richland Township
The Allegheny Land Trust plans a public meeting on Saturday, April 20 to discuss ideas and to review sketches for future use of the former Pittsburgh Cut Flower property in Richland Township.
The meeting, in partnership with the township, will be held at 2 p.m. at the Northern Tier Regional Library, 4015 Dickey Road.
Community members, residents and anyone else interested in participating to attend.
Earth Day Celebration
Cranberry Township
Bring the whole family Saturday, April 20 and enjoy a day of music, fun, food, activities and speakers.
The musical lineup begins at 2 p.m. with Rick Bruening at The Harmony Inn Porch; 4 p.m. Square Hillbillies at The Bottlebrush Gallery and 7 p.m. The Tiger Maple String Band at The Center of Harmony. The event is free, but donations are suggested. Learn more here.
Tree Planting
Sewickley Heights
Allegheny Land Trust in partnership with the PA Game Commission is holding an Audubon Greenway Tree Planting Party. Meet at Hall’s Field, 202 Barberry Road, Sewickley Heights from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 25.
