North Park Holiday Laser Show Returning: Here Are The Details

The holiday show is coming back for a fourth season, Allegheny County officials said.

McCANDLESS, PA — Last year, more than 5,700 vehicles toted an estimated 24,000 attendees to the North Park holiday laser show. Those who went likely will be happy to hear the event is returning next month for its fourth year.

Tickets went on sale Thursday for the show, a 40-minute synchronized light show that enables families to enjoy the lights and holiday music from their own vehicles.

The show runs Dec. 8-23. Held in Allegheny County’s North Park Swimming Pool parking lot on South Ridge Drive, visitors can choose from two session times Sunday through Thursday (6:30 p.m. or 8 p.m.) or three session times on Friday and Saturday (6:30 p.m., 8 p.m. or 9:30 p.m.)

No shows will occur on Dec. 11 or 12.

County officials noted that space is limited. Attendees are urged to arrive 30-45 minutes before their time slot. When arriving, attendees will need to show the QR code provided at the time of purchase – which can be shown on a smart phone or can be printed and brought to the event.

Vehicles will be directed from the entrance and guests can tune in to 87.9 FM on their radio to hear the show.

No commercial vehicles, including school buses, minibuses and limos are allowed at the event. There will be no concessions available on-site, but visitors are permitted to bring snacks to enjoy in or at their vehicle.
