Former North Allegheny Superintendent Retiring Two Years After Taking Job in Michigan

Patricia Green had signed a five year contract to be superintendent of Ann Arbor Public Schools.

Former North Allegheny School Superintendent Dr. Patricia Green has announced her retirement as Superintendent of Ann Arbor, MI Public schools, a little more than two years after taking the position.

Green said her resignation would be effective in 90 days.

Green was hired in March 2011. At the time, she said, “I intend to be around for a long time,” according to published reports.

In her resignation letter, Green said she is leaving after 43 years in public education and expressed thanks “for the opportunity to serve the Ann Arbor community during these past two years.”

Green served as superintendent of North Allegheny Schools from 2002 to 2011.
