More Storms Expected in North Allegheny Area as Temperatures Begin to Drop

It will go from feeling like late spring to late fall by Friday.

The National Weather service in Pittsburgh says another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected Thursday evening in the North Allegheny areas.

Friday's predicted high temperature will be 20 degrees cooler than today.

  • Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Southeast wind 8 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 50-percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms. Low around 52. Southeast wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100-percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Friday: Showers likely, mainly before 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 58. Southwest wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60-perecent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
