The store’s employees told police four to five men entered Moses Jewelers on Route 228 at about 2 p.m. and ordered everyone to get down on the floor.

At least one man was armed with a handgun, police said.

The suspects then began to break the glass display cases in the store and empty the contents into bags. Numerous watches and rings were taken during the robbery, police said.

A value for the items is currently unavailable. No one was injured in the robbery.

Police said the men were in and out the store within three minutes.

Sgt. Chuck Mascellino said officers were on the scene within two minutes of being called to the store, but were unable to locate the suspects, despite a search of the area.

“It was initially reported that the males were in a white 4-door vehicle, but the employees were uncertain which direction the suspects fled,” Mascellino said.

One suspect, who had not covered his face, is described as a black man. The other suspects had their faces covered during the robbery. Moses employees were unable to provide any more information about them, according to police.

Investigators are now gathering video surveillance footage of the incident. Additional information about the robbery may be released as soon as it is available, police said.

Anyone who is able to provide a better description of the vehicle or suspects is asked to call Cranberry Police at 724-776-5180, ext. 5.

As of Tuesday, a handwritten note on the door of Moses Jewelers said the store is closed. An employee inside the store declined to comment.
