Newsweek Ranks North Allegheny High School Among Nation's Best

Newsweek ranked North Allegheny High School number 65 in the nation for college readiness. The school earned a college readiness score of 95.75 out of 100.

Newsweek ranked all high schools performing at or above the 80th percentile in each state. North Allegheny earned their ranking out of the 500 top high schools in America.

They determined each school’s college readiness according to college enrollment rate, graduation rate, Advanced Placement composite, Weighted SAT/ACT composite, holding power (how many students stay between 9th and 12th grade), and counselor-to-student ratio.

Newsweek also considered equity for economically disadvantaged students, or how fair it is to students in poverty.
