North Allegheny Grad Wins Press Club Journalism Scholarship Award

At its annual Golden Quill Awards banquet Monday, the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania honored North Allegheny graduate Jessica Tully with the 2013 Bob Fryer Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Young Journalist. 

Tully, a junior at Penn State's main campus at University Park will receive $5,000 toward her tuition.

Tully is majoring in journalism and political science and has served as Opinion page editor and News Editor for the Daily Collegian.

Tully was also named Daily Collegian reporter of the semester and has interned at USA Today and continues to freelance for the newspaper.
