North Allegheny Tennis Clinches Championship for Third Straight Year
The win moves the Tigers' overall season record to 14-0, including a 13-0 section record.

The Tigers traveled to North Hills Thursday afternoon and returned with a 4-1 win and the Section 2AAA championship for the third straight year.Â
According to the North Allegheny Sports Network, the first point for the Tigers came from the number one doubles team of sophomore Jared Isaacs and senior Connor Goodman who defeated Mike Chutko and Grant Traeger. Â
Within minutes freshman Andrew Xu, playing number one singles for the second time this season, defeated Dan Schmidt for the second point.Â

The clincher came at number three singles where sophomore Eric Huang worked his way past Jared Wink.Â
Presenting the fourth and final team point, junior Cody Schurter and senior Andy Radick defeated Craig Deng and Brian Lovasik in the only three set match of the day.Â

Senior Evan Lee, making his first singles start in his varsity career acquitted himself well against the fleet-of-foot Ryan Balog.Â

Next on the schedule, the Tigers doubles duo of junior Kevin Goth and senior Tomas Monti will represent NA and Section 2 at the WPIAL Doubles Tournament at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 29 at Shadyside Academy
