North Allegheny finished the season undefeated, 21-0.

It was the first title for coach Dan Schall.

"We wanted to get this one for coach Schall," Tigers libero Suyash Fulay told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "He's been such a great mentor and coach for us. It's the one thing he had yet to accomplish in his coaching career. I'm so happy we were able to give him his first title."

"I feel so happy for the kids," Schall told the PG. "They've worked so hard to reach this goal."

"I've been thinking about winning a state championship since I was in seventh grade," Tigers setter Joe Murphy told the Pos-Gazette. "In ninth grade, I watched my idols lose in the semifinals. In 10th grade, we lost in the title match. Last year, we lost a heartbreaker in the Round of 16. It's so amazing to get here and finally win one."
