“The detour uses state roads so it’s quite a long ride around,” said Adam Selisker, the chairman of the township board of supervisors and Northampton Township fire chief. “The part that’s most affected is between Hatboro Road and Jacksonville Road. There will be some local access and that Tanner’s will be open and accessible.”

During the construction, Almshouse Road will be open to local traffic between Second Street Pike and Hatboro Road, including access to Tanner’s store. The main closure will be between Hatboro Road and Jacksonville Road where the work will be taking place.

Access will also be available to Solly Brothers’ Farm Market, which will remain open throughout the road work and may still be reached.

According to the Solly Brothers Facebook page, the farm market will be accessible from the intersection of Jacksonville and Almshouse roads as well as from Spencer Road.

"Solly’s is bursting with delicious farm-fresh, locally grown produce, incredible baked goods and more. These 10 days are peak season for Solly’s so please help spread the word that we are reachable during construction."

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
