Buck Road Bridge In Northampton Closes For 10 Weeks

The work involves relocating utility lines in preparation for the reconstruction of the Buck Road Bridge in 2026.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Buck Road Bridge over Mill Creek is scheduled to close beginning this week to allow workers to relocate utility lines.

The work is expected to take 10 weeks to complete, with the bridge scheduled to reopen on November 26.

From Monday, Sept. 15, through Wednesday, Nov. 26, Route 532 (Buck Road) will be closed 24/7 between Old Bristol Road and Chinquapin Road, including the Buck Road bridge.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Old Bristol Road, Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike), Route 132 (Street Road), Churchville Road, Bristol Road, Churchville Lane, and Holland Road.

The work will involve relocating utility lines in preparation for the reconstruction of the Buck Road Bridge in 2026.

Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Northampton, Bucks County Municipal Authority will complete the project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
